Summary of Partnership:

Liberty Point Elementary School partnered with National Training Network at the start of the 2017-2018 school year. There was a focus on problem-solving using SOLVE, fact fluency, and using multiple representations to teach mathematical concepts. The teachers were trained prior to the start of the school year on how to use SOLVE. The NTN Coach provided support in the form of lab sites for the first 4 visits. In the lab sites, the NTN Coach modeled how to use concrete and pictorial representations to build students’ conceptual understanding of what was happening mathematically before introducing students to the abstract representation. Following the lab sites, the teachers were charged with teaching their lessons following the same format.
