Summer might be in full swing, but at NTN, we’re already looking ahead. Behind the scenes, our team is hard at work planning new ways to support schools, empower teachers, and strengthen student success in math this fall. From exciting updates to our MathKEYmatics assessment platform to upcoming events across the country, there’s a lot to look forward to.

Here’s a sneak peek at what’s in the works:

What’s New in MathKEYmatics: Smarter Tools, Stronger Instruction

We’ve been listening to your feedback, and building on it. This fall, MathKEYmatics is getting a refresh that makes it more powerful and even easier to use. Whether you’re a returning school or just discovering us, here’s what’s new:

  • Built-in Professional Development: Now every MathKEYmatics license includes on-demand PD to support teachers in making the most of the platform. The professional development videos incorporated in this feature are accessible 24/7 and are an excellent opportunities for educators to get ongoing, just in time training to prepare for teaching upcoming concepts throughout the school year. This resource is beneficial for all educators, and can be especially helpful to long term subs or those new to mathematics education.
  • KEMS Integration: Our signature concept based lessons, KEMS (Key Elements of Mathematics for Students), are now woven into MathKEYmatics to provide ready-to-use resources that deepen conceptual understanding and provide small group teaching opportunities for pre and/or re-teach opportunities based on what the real-time data indicates. These lessons address key core mathematical concepts that are essential building blocks in the math learning progression. Students will build their math aptitude by building a strong foundational understanding through NTN’s CPA (concrete-pictorial-abstract) methodology that is supported through the use of these lessons.
  • Data Coaching: Our data coaching process supports all stakeholders in building a data culture in the building that bridges the gap between subjective observation and objective measurement by defining the building norms, beliefs, and procedures regarding data. NTN’s Data Specialist analyzes the data and provides instructional leaders a comprehensive report summarizing the pertinent data findings, including trends and recommendations for next steps.
  • Improved Computer Based Testing Practice:  This year, MathKEYmatics will include standards-based open ended questions in the grade level question banks for grades 1-8. Educators can select from these question types when building custom formative and summative assessments to allow for ongoing access to practicing responding to various question types in an online environment that requires students to show what they know. Students can practice utilizing the technical tools to learn how to show their thinking in a digital platform. Teachers have the ability to provide instant, personalized feedback to students on various question types, directly in the platform.

We can’t wait to share even more updates soon—stay tuned!

Coaching & PD That Fits Your School

In addition to the updates inside MathKEYmatics, we’re expanding our professional development and coaching options to help math teams feel more confident, connected, and equipped. Whether you’re looking for on demand PD sessions, in-person coaching days, or long-term support across the school year, our team is ready to meet you where you are.

We know that strong instruction starts with strong support, and that’s exactly what we’re here to provide.

Where to Find Us This Year

If you’re headed to a conference or regional event this school year, chances are we’ll be there too. Our team loves meeting educators face-to-face, sharing what’s new, and learning from your experiences. The first one you will see us at is 57th Annual NCSM Conference this October 13-15, 2025 in Atlanta, Georgia.  We will be presenting with a principal from a partner school and have a booth in the exhibit hall.

Let us know if you’ll be attending, our booth always has something fun (and useful!) to take home.

Big Picture, Bright Future

At NTN, we believe every math teacher deserves tools that work with them—not more work for them. Whether you’re diving deeper into MathKEYmatics, exploring our PD offerings, or meeting us at a conference for the first time, we hope to be part of your success story this school year.

Thanks for being part of our growing community. Here’s to dreaming big and doing even more together this fall.
